Silicon Valley International School (INTL) recherche un(e) enseignant(e) du secondaire pour rejoindre son équipe pédagogique du Programme Français à compter de l’année scolaire 2026-2027.

Le poste consiste principalement à enseigner Histoire-Géographie au lycée dans le cadre du Baccalauréat International, notamment Histoire-Géographie en MYP ainsi que Géographie ou Histoire en DP, selon l’expérience du/de la candidat(e). Le poste comprend également l’enseignement d’une section de Français : Langue et Littérature au niveau collège.

Les enseignants d’INTL élaborent des progressions pédagogiques et des séquences d’enseignement conformes aux cadres et aux objectifs des programmes IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) et Diploma Programme (DP). Ils favorisent l’apprentissage en établissant des relations positives avec les élèves et en organisant efficacement les ressources pédagogiques ainsi que l’environnement d’apprentissage en classe.

Ils développent et encouragent les compétences intellectuelles et sociales nécessaires à l’épanouissement optimal des élèves, en tenant compte de leur âge, de leurs capacités et de leurs aptitudes. Ils établissent des liens entre les connaissances nouvelles et les acquis antérieurs des élèves et mettent en place des stratégies pédagogiques permettant d’approfondir ces apprentissages. Ils encouragent les élèves à faire preuve de curiosité intellectuelle et à approfondir leurs connaissances et leur compréhension.

L’enseignant(e) doit démontrer un engagement fort envers la mission d’INTL et envers la communauté internationale que nous servons. Le/la candidat(e) doit également posséder une expérience d’enseignement au niveau collège et lycée, être responsable, autonome, bienveillant(e) et apprécier le travail collaboratif au sein d’une équipe pédagogique internationale et multiculturelle.

Ce poste implique un enseignement fondé sur l’investigation (inquiry-based learning) conformément aux cadres pédagogiques du MYP et du DP, tout en veillant à l’acquisition rigoureuse des compétences disciplinaires. Une collaboration étroite avec les collègues fait partie intégrante du poste, et du temps dédié au travail collaboratif est intégré dans l’emploi du temps.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teaching History-Geography within the IB MYP and DP frameworks, as well as French Language and Literature in Middle School
  • Designing and implementing units of instruction, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with the MYP and DP curricular frameworks
  • Creating a structured and engaging learning environment that supports student growth and achievement
  • Encouraging critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and deeper understanding
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement disciplinary and interdisciplinary units
  • Contributing actively to departmental collaboration and the broader life of the school
  • Following the educational mission and guidelines of INTL and the International Baccalaureate, as well as the French Ministry of Education curriculum at the Middle School level

Compensation

Compensation is based on the candidate’s education and years of relevant teaching experience. The salary range for this full-time teaching position for the 2026–2027 school year is $83,403 (BA Step 3) to $126,672 (PhD Step 23).
